Apple is suspending Parler, the social media platform favored by President Trump’s supporters, from its utility retailer.
The tech large mentioned Saturday Parler didn’t comply with Apple’s pointers by not eradicating dangerous content material from the platform.
“Parler has not taken satisfactory measures to deal with the proliferation of those threats to folks’s security,” the corporate mentioned in an announcement. “We’ve suspended Parler from the App Retailer till they resolve these points.”
In a letter despatched to Parlers’ builders, Apple additional states, “Parler has not upheld its dedication to reasonable and take away dangerous or harmful content material encouraging violence and criminality, and isn’t in compliance with the App Retailer Overview Tips.”
The transfer comes a day after Google banned Parler, which describes itself as “unbiased social media,” from being downloaded on its Google Play retailer.
